JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: District Director

REPORTS TO: U.S. Regional Director, Global Field Division    

JOB SUMMARY :

  • Grow ministry in assigned district in alignment with Crown’s  vision, mission, core values and the North American Field Strategic Plan
  • Model spiritual leadership
  • Cast vision for external and internal constituencies
  • Multiply through field staff and volunteer teams
  • Lead through change
  • Engage and serve ministry partners
  • Collaborate with US Region Leadership Team
  • Participate in projects and task forces as assigned for strategic planning and implementation of North America Field ministry

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Grow ministry within District
    • Proactively demonstrate the Crown Core Values
    • Balance focus on results and relationships
    • Ensure long-term funding of the District
    • Allocate people and financial resources strategically
    • Evaluate priority growth areas balanced with where God is working
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences
  • Model spiritual leadership
    • Develop a prayer and spiritual growth strategy for District leadership team and team members
    • Develop emerging Area Director leaders
  • Cast vision for external and internal constituencies
    • Represent ministry in public speaking venues and ministry meetings
    • Develop cross-cultural and cross-denominational strategic relationships with ministry & alliance leaders and community influencers within District
  • Multiply through teams
    • Recruit the District leadership team
    • Equip team through modeling, walking alongside and releasing
    • Sustain by building community, communicating and celebrating
    • Properly delegate responsibilities to others
  • Lead through change
    • Develop 1 year and 2-5 year goals
    • Align change with Crown’s vision, mission, core values & strategic plan
    • Proactively identify and leverage opportunities for excellence
  • Engage and serve ministry partners
    • Develop a plan
    • Lift vision partners to greater giving
    • Develop closer relationships with your Ministry Partners
  • Collaborate with US Region Leadership Team
    • Give creative input for development of Region coordinated with Global and North American Field Strategy
    • Meet regularly with US Region Leadership Team one-on-one and in group settings
    • Participate in creative sessions with other field and home office staff to aid in the development of new or improved ideas and concepts
  • Participate in projects and task forces as assigned for strategic planning and implementation of North America Field ministry
  • Assist with miscellaneous duties as assigned
