JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Business Process Analyst
REPORTS TO: Manager, Enterprise Application Services
JOB SUMMARY :
- Identify and confirm client business requirements, develop project approach, testing plans and track/document development requirements
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the BPMS as well as customize and configure workflow to allow the integration of client/server applications
- Provide application support for Crown web applications (internal and external) and database programs
- Administer quality assurance application testing including development of test plan, bug tracking, training, and support
- Assist in the evaluation of technologies to identify appropriateness for the company
- Assist in make/buy analysis for application software requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Map business process functions within various units of the ministry and design/implement new, more efficient processes
- Perform training and develop documentation for application systems
- Work directly with the client to articulate and document business requirements in order to identify and analyze gaps between current processes and the desired state
- Develop business and/or functional specifications as well as prepare test objectives in order to validate process changes and system development requirements
- Work with applications developers by translating high-level business requirements into functional/technical specifications
- Work with subject matter experts (SME) to ensure application(s) capabilities and design meet user/business requirements
- Identify areas of potential business risk and communicate these to the Project Management
- Fulfill such requests as given from Manager, Enterprise Application Services
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of project management, bug tracking, and quality assurance processes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mercury Quicktest, Sharepoint Services, and Office Suite
- Must have well-developed analytical skills
- Working knowledge of ITIL and BPM methodologies

- Good organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, logical, good at solving problems with technical orientation
- Ability to work well with people
