Ministry Development Representative
Job Summary
Primarily responsible for developing high-quality relationships with individuals who have a heart for seeing lives transformed through the Crown mission and who have the potential to support the ministry financially. Initiate new relationships and maintain on-going ones with small to medium-sized donors through new contacts and consistent support and communication.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop long-range and short-range plans for donor interaction in the small to medium donor range
- Set appointments, call and meet donors and provide effective education and communication regarding Crown’s mission and on-going activities
- Follow up with thank you acknowledgements and provide information for donors on the progress of general or specific Crown activities of interest to them
- Develop and maintain expertise in effective donor relationships
- Work closely with Advancement staff and pertinent leadership to build the donor base and provide outstanding service to donors
- Assist in planning, execution and follow-up of donor events that inform and educate donors, giving them an opportunity to participate with Crown
Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated competencies in the development of high-quality constituent relationships and consistent, effective communication
- Ability to manage relationships with a portfolio of constituents
- Ability to work independently, planning and executing duties with minimal direct supervision
- Experience in positions with accountability for both result-oriented and process-oriented goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using a computer and general office equipment
