Steve Whaley

Steve Whaley has over 35 years of accounting and finance experience, having served in executive leadership roles with leading U.S. companies. Steve currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Controller, Principal Accounting Officer for J.C. Penney. Prior to joining J.C.Penney, Steve served as the Senior Vice President Global Controller & Chief Accounting Officer for Walmart and as the Vice President and Controller for Southwest Airlines. Steve began his career in public accounting with KPMG.

Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Steve and his wife, Callie, live in Cave Springs, Arkansas with their two Australian Shepherds. They enjoy spending time with their family which consists of two daughters, two sons, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and one grandchild.
