Stewardship Lessons from Kirk Cousins
I really like the story about NFL quarterback, Kirk Cousins who currently plays for the Washington Redskins. But it’s not his completed passes or number of touchdowns that interest me.
Kirk Cousins was in the news because of the kind of car he drives – an ancient gray van that he bought from his grandmother for $5,000! He calls it the Grey Ghost, which currently has over 100,000 miles on it!
I love Kirk’s example. In an industry where more money, more fame, and more indulgence is celebrated, he’s embraced the principles of biblical stewardship and is setting a great example for his teammates – and the rest of us.
Kirk understands that good stewardship means spending less than you have.
