Ownership of Resources

God owns everything!

The world teaches that we’re owners and those with the most win. We compare and strive for more, measuring success by things we say we own, but we’re to live differently. When God put Adam in the garden he didn’t say, “Here, it’s all yours.” God told him to work it and manage it. We’re His stewards.

Accepting that role takes the pressure off our shoulders. We can relax and breathe easier during uncertain times when we feel so vulnerable to loss. It also gives us the motivation to manage well, not for our own egos, but to take care of our families and bring glory to God. We’ll be stewarding God’s resources for all eternity, and He’s evaluating our work now.
