Work: Invest in Yourself

We need to invest in ourselves.

It’s been said that no one will pay you what you’re not willing to pay yourself. It’s how you become more valuable as volunteers, employees, or employers. I invest in myself in a variety of ways. I start each day listening to the Bible. I read widely and deeply to broaden my understanding of the world. I invest time caring for my body, time in community with others, and time in prayer.

You can gain knowledge through a formal education at the university level, through certification programs, or through online courses. Learning impacts marketability and increases income. You bless others and bring glory to God while stewarding the talents He’s given you.
