Integrity Is Priceless

Your integrity is priceless.

Integrity is the condition of being whole, complete, undivided. It characterizes the morally upright. The Bible summarizes the lives of Israel and Judah’s kings with a single measurement. Either they did what was right in the eyes of God, or they did evil. Their entire life’s work boiled down to integrity before God. In the same way, our lives will be measured by our integrity. Any small deviation can destroy it.

During a talk I gave in Asia, someone asked how the Christian businessman could operate in a system controlled by white-collar fraud and bribery. I immediately thought of Joseph and Daniel and replied, “If you’re willing to pay the price of short-term losses, you’ll eventually be recognized for your integrity. Even a corrupt ruler wants an honest man to run his affairs. Joseph went to prison and Daniel went to the lions’ den for their integrity, but both were exalted to the highest levels of responsibility in their corrupt nations.” I then read Isaiah 33:15-16: “He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, he will dwell on the heights; his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure.” Spontaneous applause broke out at the reading of those words. God’s promises to the righteous are staggering – a motivation to live with absolute integrity.

In my new book Seven Gray Swans, I describe potentially significant events that could happen. A gray swan’s an obvious danger that we tend to ignore.  My goal is to show you how to prepare for and survive these economic threats. The e-book is available now at Amazon.com.
