Abide in Christ and Abound With Hope
Are you feeling hopeless about your finances?
I’ve known men who have committed suicide over their failures with money. They couldn’t handle the loss, the embarrassment, or the fear of the future. They had lost all hope. Jesus invites us to come to Him and find rest for our souls. His love should motivate us to live with hope. In fact, our hope is built on the solid rock of the promises of God . Because of who He is, we should have great hope! God can rescue us from financial bondage, but are we doing our part? Have we acknowledged that He owns everything – that we’re simply His temporary stewards? Do we believe He has the power to change us and our money habits? It’s a matter of renewing our minds. So let’s spend some time listening to what God says in His Word.
In Psalm 71:5, “For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.”
Psalm 146:5, “Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,”
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I Peter 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
