Leaving a Legacy
What kind of legacy are you leaving?
Whether we’re aware of it or not, our lives affect those around us. Our time on earth is short, but the impact we make for God’s kingdom lasts forever. To practice generational stewardship, we must purposefully live so that God will be glorified. The decisions we make now last long after we’re gone. Does that sound like a challenging task? It’s one we can choose to take on by living intentionally day after day after day. Our habits, words, and deeds all add up. Over the course of our lives, we have left a Godly legacy.
Generational stewardship is about more than just leaving a monetary inheritance. It’s about leaving a spiritual one as well. Think about the values we want to pass on to our children and our children’s children. They learn from the model we set for them. So, our lives must be saturated with the Word of God. When we abide in Christ, we will bear much fruit. In Him, we can leave a legacy of integrity, grace, generosity, and joy. Psalm 78:4 explains it this way: we should pass down the “glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.”
When we lovingly instill these teachings in the next generation, we raise them up to be faithful stewards who will prepare the generation after them. Crown is here to help you embark on this journey! The choices we make today will multiply God’s kingdom tomorrow and forever.
Now one way we can model generosity is by supporting this radio station. They bring programming like ours to help you grow in Christ. Please give to this station first, then consider Crown’s Matching Challenge going on now through December 31. Every partner is important to us. Give today at crown.org.
