I was constantly stressed out about money but also didn’t see anything wrong with my spending. The burden I felt was heavy, and I didn’t know how to fix it. Over the years we accrued more and more debt, barely keeping afloat. We decided to become better stewards. Then, this opportunity to work with a budget coach came up. Learning how God wants us to manage money has been a huge blessing – physically and spiritually. He owns everything and He knows the best for our situation.”

The spouse replied, “I was taught about money, but I never paid attention to seeking counsel. I brought that into our marriage with reckless spending and paid the consequences. Thankfully, through God’s grace, our coach has guided me and kept me on track. In the future, I plan to teach my kids, and when financial things come about, to be an example to them. I will say, the hardest thing for me was recognizing that everything I have is God given. He can give, and he can take away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. It’s been challenging to budget and track expenses. But we’ve stopped accruing debt every month. And we have more peace of mind while trusting God to provide our every need.”
