Testimony Tuesday – 76 Years Old and Grateful for Crown

We received a great testimony that I think will encourage you!

In 1976, a woman took a Crown class at her church. The timing was perfect. Her husband had left her and she didn’t know how to manage money. Fearful of not having enough, she avoided spending money at all. She later remarried, began to steward well, and continues to apply Biblical financial principles. Early on, family told them it was silly to pay off debt before it was due. After all, interest was tax-deductible! Ignoring them, they paid off their first house in 7 years, and all remaining debt within the next few years. They tithed continuously, remembering these words: “Do you want to be blessed on your net, or on your gross?”

A few years ago, they increased their giving to 15%. It was shaky at first, but even during the pandemic, they held onto that goal. This year, they increased it to 20%. She wrote this to us, “We’re excited to see what the Lord will do, for He just keeps blessing us! It’s so much fun to get to give more and more back into the Lord’s work! If I could do a cartwheel, I would, but I’m now 76 years old. Words cannot adequately thank you for all that you have been and are doing. I’m so excited about Crown’s worldwide ministry. I’m excited about Chuck’s books and the Money Map. We feel so blessed to know that we’ve been a small part of it, from the very beginning!”

Well, may her words inspire you this year to change your financial habits. Remember that small steps make a big impact over time. She started when she was only 28 years old.
