Faith Conquers Fear
by Larry Burkett
The opposite of fear is faith. Therefore, when dealing with fear, one must first understand faith. In Hebrews it is described as “things we hope for and things that we do not presently have.” So, if we have no needs, we have no need of faith.
Martin Luther said, “Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.”
It is God’s plan that we have some needs in order that we may develop faith in Him, and it is vital that we view these future needs as opportunities to exercise and develop our faith.
We are told in God’s Word that He is a rewarder of those who diligently serve Him. We must decide if we believe that or if those are just words.
F.B. Meyer said, “God incarnate is the end of fear; and the heart that realizes He is in the midst will be quiet in the middle of alarm.”
No Christian can truly serve God and live in fear. It’s a choice.
