“I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him.”

God First
by Larry Burkett
One of the most overwhelming characteristics of those who discern God’s will for their lives is that they continually seek to put God first.
Most Christians experience doubts and anxieties when faced with major decisions. However, most major decisions are actually a series of minor decisions that converge into a changed direction.
Consistently putting God first eliminates most decisions before they become crises.
God has already endowed each of us Christians with unique abilities, desires, and gifts to accomplish His will.
As you seek to serve God, the Holy Spirit will make known God’s perfect plan for your life. What He wants for you will be different from what He wants for your other family members or friends.
Putting God first and living for Him every day–consistently–is difficult. However, if you exercise self-will, He will do the rest.
“If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1).
