GIF No Peace, No Purchase
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:6-7)
No Peace, No Purchase

Advertisers are good at creating a sense of need and urgency. They offer an endless parade of “once-in-a-lifetime” deals. The pitch is normally to convince you that you’d better buy now because prices may never be this low again.
Even if you’re seeking to be a good steward of God’s resources, you may be tempted by some of these deals from time to time. The key is to be immersed in God’s Word and aware of His presence.
If you don’t have peace, don’t buy. If a quick decision is required, don’t get involved. Even if you have a legitimate need, take the time to think and pray about a prospective purchase, because God may have an alternative means of providing for you.
Decisions made on the spur of the moment often lead to regrets. Determine that you absolutely will not make buying decisions under pressure.
Waiting before you buy may cost you a few good deals. That’s a small loss compared to freedom from stress and anxiety.
