True Riches

What are the “true riches” that Christians receive for being faithful in handling money and possessions?
After the fall of mankind in Genesis 3, humans began to view things as more important than God—even though He was their only hope of salvation.
Mark 8:36 says, “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?” (NIV). No amount of money or possessions is more valuable than your soul, and nothing on earth can replace the riches of knowing Jesus Christ.
We chase after things in life that we believe are going to make us rich, but the grace, mercy, forgiveness and blessings that come from God are the true riches. God raised you up from your sins to know Him. All other things pale in comparison.
God challenges us to see the truth—that He is greater than all other things. There are no exceptions for anything we think is valuable. We are to love Him with all we have.
If you’re faithful to God and wisely manage what He entrusts to you, He will reveal more of Himself to you. You will begin to experience the true riches.
If you don’t know God, pray and invite Jesus to come into your life as Savior and Lord so that you, too, can begin to experience the “true riches.”
