Emotional Attachments to Things

What is your favorite possession? Maybe you have a few items that mean the world to you, or that you just don’t think you could live without.

It may be a tough pill to swallow, but your most prized possessions, the things that mean the most to you, will someday belong to someone else.

Our time here on this earth is fleeting. And at the end of our lives, we don’t get to take our family heirlooms, or wedding bands with us to heaven. Like the game monopoly, it all goes back in the box.

That’s why the Bible tells us to have an eternal perspective, to focus our attention on the things of heaven, not of earth.

So when it comes to your finances, make giving a top priority…you will be happier and better off for all of eternity!
