Avoiding Spending Triggers
Free Samples. In-store samples of desserts, chips and dips, or tasty entrees are my worst spending trigger!
It’s difficult for me to pass up a good sample and not want to add it to our list!
We all have different spending triggers – maybe you’re weak when you shop with other friends, or have a wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket. Maybe you tend to spend more when you’re sad, upset, or hungry.
Whatever your spending trigger is, identify it and be cautious to guard against it. Second Timothy says to flee from temptation, and that the Holy Spirit will give us power, love, and self-discipline.
By abiding in Christ, you can pass up those in-store samples every time!
