A Joyful Heart

The name “Yahweh” is actually an American attempt to say a word that can’t be pronounced. The word is “YHWH,” with no vowels. So the closest we can come to pronouncing it is to say Yahweh.
Interestingly enough, when you say that over and over, it sounds like laughter. Laughter is universal, and it is the name of God. God is the God of Abraham, Isaac (which means laughter) and Jacob – the God of laughter!
There are many purposes for laughter, but the primary purpose would be to heal our souls, our spirits, and even to heal us physically. Science is now learning that when we laugh, we release endorphins, which help heal our bodies and stimulate our immune systems.
It’s important for each of us to have a good sense of humor and be able to even laugh at ourselves sometimes. It makes it easier to go through difficult times.
I believe God gave us laughter to gladden our souls. If we are going to be “light” to the unsaved, we must act like we are happy with what we have.
“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting” (Job 8:21).
