Christian Business
by Larry Burkett
The goal of Christian businesspeople should be to use their organizations as vehicles to share Christ with other people.
Businesspeople should be Christ’s representatives to employees, to creditors, and to customers.
Also the minimum expected from a Christian business must be a quality product or service at a fair price. Sadly, not all Christian organizations measure up to this standard. It’s a small wonder that so many unbelievers have a bad perspective of Christianity.
If Christian businesses don’t have excellence, they will not be able to witness to the customers.
Though there’s nothing specifically mentioned in God’s Word about it, I’m sure Paul made the best tents and Jesus, the carpenter’s son, made excellent furniture. We can do no less.
“Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand beforeobscure men” (Proverbs 22:29).
