One day I was traveling in my car and tuned to a Christian radio station that played a song with the lyric, “God said it and I believe it.” That should be the standard by which we all live our lives. Unfortunately, all too often we allow doubts and fears to get in our way.

There is no problem too big for God to solve, if we believe. That doesn’t mean that God will keep every problem away from us; nor does it mean He must miraculously solve every crisis, although I’ve seen Him do so many times.

Sometimes the problems are for our growth. Other times they are for discipline. And there are times when we simply don’t know why things happen to us. But through it all, God is still there, comforting us.

I have learned that although God never promised to remove every difficulty, He has promised that we can have peace in the midst of them if we continue to serve Him.

Use the following verse as your prayer: “O Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me! My only hope is in your love and faithfulness. . . . Come and help me!” (Psalm 40:11, 13 TLB).
