“We are the temple of the living God; just as God said, ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God and they shall be My people.’ ”

Hasty Decisions
by Larry Burkett
Often Christians rationalize hasty, even foolish, decisions on the basis of “God told me to do it.”
If God tells someone to do something, He will provide for that person’s needs.
The evidence that God hasn’t directed everyone who says He has is the fact that sometimes the situations actually get worse.
Kenneth Wuest said, “When we have limitations imposed on us we do our best work for the Lord, for then we are most dependent on Him.”
God has an individual plan for everyone. It has been my observation that this sometimes involves allowing us to work our way out of a situation of our own making—because of a hasty decision.
Ask God to show you His plan for you today. Be sure you know He is guiding you before you make any decision.
“I have chosen to do right. I cling to your commands and follow them as closely as I can. Lord, don’t let me make a mess of things. Just tell me what to do and I will do it, Lord. As long as I live I’ll wholeheartedly obey” (Psalm 119:30-31, 33-34 TLB).
