Those who apply Biblical financial principles have a proven track record. Diligence is one key component of wise stewardship. Listen to a few passages from Proverbs that reveal its importance. 

– “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (4:23)

– “Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.” (12:24)

– “A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.” (13:4)

– “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” (21:5)

If you diligently apply God’s ways of handling money, you’ll experience progress. You’ll be encouraged to continue on because you’ll have less stress and frustration. Begin by deciding to live beneath your means. This will enable you to pay down existing debt and prevent you from adding more. Then continue to give. This honors God, your Provider, and builds trust in His loving care. Establish wise saving habits for emergencies and your future needs. You’ll get unstuck and you’ll be encouraged to face the future!
