Crazy Money! Paradise Cove Mobile Home Park

It’s Crazy Money Day!

Paradise Cove Mobile Home Park is supposedly the most expensive trailer park in America. It sits on a bluff with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and has direct access to a cove for surfing. Back in the ‘50s, owners of the property allowed commercial fisherman to park their campers there. Several decades ago, wealthy actors, actresses, and executives began buying up trailers and turned the park into some of the hottest real estate in California. “America’s Most Glamorous Trailer Home Park” is a pet and child-friendly neighborhood with a gate and guarded entrance, a clubhouse, and amenities. Two trailers are listed for sale at 4 and 6 million dollars. Nearby mansions cost more than $100 million. Land doesn’t come with the trailer. Instead, you pay rent between $1500 to more than $4,000 per spot. Property taxes are minimal compared with traditional homes and trailer sales aren’t publicly recorded.

It used to be a tight-knit community where everybody helped one another. Old-time residents say that the influx of wealth has changed all that. Some cashed out saying their trailer home was the best investment of their lives. An even better home and community awaits believers. Jesus said, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I’m going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I’ll come back and take you to be with me.” (John 14:2-3) Well, I can’t wait! Can you?
