America’s most expensive new-construction residential project is a contemporary-style spec home with over 54,000 square feet. It’s designed for 8 bedrooms, a guesthouse, and a smaller beach house. The property borders the oceanfront and the Intracoastal Waterway and has a roadside tunnel from the lake to the beach.

The developer purchased the property in 2024 for $27 million and cleared off a 40-year-old mansion. Ground has not been broken for the planned mega-mansion. The asking price is the highest ever set for an MLS-listed property in Palm Beach, Florida. The property is next door to software billionaire Larry Ellison of Oracle. The listing price? $285 million. Now that’s crazy!
