How To Stop Worrying About Money

Are you worried about money?

Are you wasting time and energy worrying about your finances? Do you fear not having enough or losing what you already have? Perhaps you, like others, have drifted away from Biblically sound financial principles. Materialism, overspending, and lack of planning are evident. We’ve become a nation of people who are more dependent on credit cards and ‘buy now, pay later’ plans than we are on God, our true Provider. Now I’ve got three tips to help you to stop worrying. First, immerse yourself in the Word of God. Read it, listen to it, and meditate on it. Second, cultivate a thankful heart. Ask God to show you ways He’s cared for you and provided for you. Make a list and refer to it frequently. Finally, serve others. Get your mind off of your own problems.

In Philippians 4:6-7 the Apostle Paul said, “Don’t be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, lovely, or admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” So, lay your worries at the feet of Christ today and receive His peace.
