Money Can’t Solve All Financial Problems

Money does not solve financial problems! 

Are you trying to solve financial problems with money?  Too often I see people jump to the conclusion that more money will make their financial pain go away. Now don’t get me wrong; if you lose your job, you need another job. If you have a health crisis you need resources to pay the bills. I’m speaking to those who live on the financial cliff hoping for a windfall. They believe it will bail them out from all the financial mistakes. I’ve seen people put their hope in winning the lottery or a get-rich-quick scheme. The Bible makes it clear that the battle to live Godly lives is won or lost first in our hearts. We have to be determined to follow God’s way, whatever the cost. Only then will we experience freedom from allowing money to control our lives.

Can I ask you right now to open your heart to the Lord?  Allow Him to deal with you wherever you are in life no matter how many financial problems you may have. Is there an attitude hidden in your heart that’s contrary to God’s plan for your life? Get rid of it and replace it with the Truth. Confess it to the Lord now because He loves you and He wants you to cast your cares upon Him. Will you pray with me? Lord Jesus, I confess that I’ve placed my hope in money and not in You.  I trust You to faithfully provide for my needs. I want to obey your principles and follow your ways, not my own. Take control of my finances and teach me your ways. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
