Setting Goals: Food Prep Testimony
Feeling stuck in your finances? Try setting some goals!
It’s easy to get discouraged when you don’t see improvement in your financial condition.
I know we all need food. But, careful planning along with self-control in your food budget will yield big results. In fact, you can experience progress in just two weeks. It takes some planning and goal-setting to reign in the cost of feeding your family – I know! It’s a lifestyle adjustment.
Solomon said: Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
One woman decided to do just that. She took our advice to pay down her debt while continuing to give and save but needed to cut back on expenses in order to make it work.
Frustrated with wasting so much money and filled with a desire to save more than $75 a month, she decided to try weekly meal prepping. Finding deals and using coupons, she discovered she could make 20 meals for the same amount of money that 2 or 3 meals cost eating out.
Gaining confidence in Biblical stewardship, she has set a goal to save and pay cash for a new air conditioner for their home.
She says, quote: This will happen if I continue my current focus of being a better steward over what God has given me because he has given me so much.
Try setting a goal of saving on food this month. Ask the Lord to give you time to prepare and the self-control to eat out less. Then, let me know how you do!
