God is using Crown to impact lives in Kenya. One organization we work with is Buckner Kenya, which is part of the greater Buckner organization, headquartered in Dallas, TX. They’ve been working for over 20 years with foster programs, domestic adoptions, and community schools across western Kenya and Nairobi. They have a family coaching program at 5 locations. They’re called Family Hope Centers. This initiative is designed to empower families with essential skills in parenting, financial management, economic empowerment, and food security. Computer training and practical technical skills, like dressmaking, help equip families for a brighter future.

The collaboration began with a visit to Foundations for Farming in Zimbabwe in 2022. The Buckner team and community coordinators participated in an inspiring week-long training in faith, family, farming, and finances. There, they were introduced to Crown’s African Money Map. It was so impactful, it has now become an integral part of their program offerings. The Map outlines the timeless principles of God’s Word concerning money presented through the story of a fictional character named Henry. The events of his life are realistic and extremely relatable for the people being served through this resource. The reality of the obstacles Henry faces makes it a gripping and easy-to-follow story. The Money Map is based on stories which are often memorized by the students.
