Testimony Tuesday – Crown Stewardship Center – Decapolis, Nigeria

The fields are truly ripe for harvest in Nigeria. 

Today I’m delighted to share a praise report from Crown’s Stewardship Center in Decapolis, Nigeria. 2024 was marked by significant growth, expansion, and new opportunities. Their vision statement is: “To empower the most vulnerable, lifting communities out of poverty through hands-on training in conservation agriculture and vocational skills. Since attending the Foundations for Farming training, a partner of Crown, Decapolis has trained over 1,000 trainers. They’re passing on to others what they learned about faith, family, finances, and farming. This year, they plan to equip another 5,000 farmers. Their program is presented as teaching regenerative agriculture. Much of the land in Nigeria has been degraded, and there is little left to conserve. It must first be regenerated, and they now have the knowledge to do that.

Only 10% of trained farmers have the ability to report their progress, but anecdotal evidence and the visible results from trained farmers suggest that the implementation rate is significantly higher. As a result, Decapolis was invited by an organization to train 1,000 farmers in another community. Of those, many have already completed their training. I look forward to learning how that group is impacted! So pray for their protection and perseverance, so they can effectively impact all of Nigeria.
