Testimony Tuesday – Latin America
Know any Spanish speakers?
The Hispanic population in America is growing. In 2021, 63 million people of Hispanic origin were living in the U.S. That number is expected to reach more than 111 million by 2060. Dr. Frank Gonzalez, our managing Director of Espanol, is impacting Spanish-speaking communities across the U.S and abroad. He’s teaching thousands with the support of faithful small group leaders, national directors, and facilitators. In May, we launched the 2nd cohort of the Crown Espanol Entrepreneurship School. It’s called Crown Emprendedor. Entrepreneurs with seed-stage businesses from Costa Rica, the United States, Colombia, and Venezuela learn key business concepts related to sales, human resources, management, and leadership. We pray this knowledge significantly impacts their families, businesses, and communities.
A dedicated team of volunteers recently trained 100 leaders in Panama. We thank God for their faithfulness and commitment to leadership development. Churches in Columbia graduated 60 people who successfully completed a 12-week personal finance study. We pray that they spread their knowledge of Biblical financial principles throughout the region and that they will train others.
More is happening than I have time to explain. Our courses are now available in multiple languages, and they’re based on timeless biblical principles as our guide. The Bible contains over 2,350 verses on money. Learning to wisely steward the gifts and resources that God provides can bring economic freedom for all of us. Join the Spanish-speaking population in finding hope and help with your finances. You can learn more at crownespanol.org.
