The Texas Stock Exchange

We received some feedback regarding a recent radio segment, and we want to acknowledge the understandable concern regarding the unintended endorsement of BlackRock. We realize the message may have been unclear, and we want to clarify our position.

Crown does not support BlackRock’s worldview or those currently operating the other major exchanges: NASDAQ, AMEX, or NYSE. Our support lies with the intended guidelines of the TXSE, which advocates for less government regulation, allowing companies to be publicly traded at a lower cost. We will be more careful with our wording in the future to avoid implying any endorsement of BlackRock. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our stance. Ultimately, the message we aim to convey is that our sovereign God owns everything, and we are merely stewards of what He has entrusted to us.

Dallas is opening a stock exchange!

Last month, the Wall Street Journal reported that BlackRock and Citadel Securities plan to start a new national stock exchange in Texas. The goal is to take on the onerous regulations at the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq. They plan to file registration documents later this year. Trades are expected to begin in 2025 and listings could be hosted in 2026. The exchange aims to tap into those dissatisfied with increasing compliance costs at Nasdaq and NYSE, along with newer rules setting targets for board diversity. The Texas Stock Exchange or TXSE, is apolitical – and pledges to be more CEO-friendly.

Texas is now home to more Fortune 500 companies than any other state. More and more companies are moving to states with favorable regulatory and taxation policies. CEO James Lee, says, “Dallas has become one of, if not the most, dominant financial centers in the country, if not the world.” The exchange will be entirely electronic, with offices located in downtown Dallas. In the last 20 years, The Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia Stock Exchanges folded into the parent companies of the NYSE and Nasdaq. Now I’m a native of Texas and hope this endeavor succeeds. We multiply the resources God provides through investing. Sacrificing in the short term enables us to reach long-term goals to impact God’s kingdom.
