Crown Stewardship Center™- Malawi Trains Leaders From Latin America

Crown Stewardship Center™ – Malawi has existed 19 years and thousands of lives have been transformed through their work. In August 2019, Crown leaders from 8 different countries: Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Australia participated in the six week Training the Trainers course at our Crown Stewardship Center in Malawi. They learned about stewardship related to finances, land, and business. It is amazing to see Malawi (one of the world’s poorest countries in the world) training leaders from Latin America and other countries! This was our first Latino group with Spanish translation present at the Malawi School. May there be many more to come! May God greatly multiply what each of these people learned in growing faithful stewards around the globe for His Kingdom.

Training Pastors in Tanzania

What you can’t tell from this photo is the resounding noise filling the room. Laughter, hands slamming down on tables, and feet rushing across the room are the melody behind these mens’ smiles. Meet three pastors from the Anglican Diocese of Mount Kilimanjaro who have come together in Arusha, Tanzania to learn how they deepen their own understanding of stewardship, and how to raise up faithful stewards in their congregations. This scene is from the middle of a raucous Money Map game, where the pastors learn hands-on about budgeting. Crown partners have used this game to teach hundreds of people how to budget with a biblical mindset. Some groups have played for over eight hours! This game, which originated in Africa, is being spread to other Crown partners and is being developed to minister to kinesthetic learners around the world.

Sharing the Gospel in Mongolia

Although the power had gone out and the only light they had emanated from a handful of candles, the Crown Mongolia team managed to take a photo of a dinner they shared with people in Ulaistai city. They had spent time in that city teaching a Bible on Money seminar.  Everyone from Christians to Buddhists came, seeking to learn how they could find relief from their financial pain. During the seminar, a widow broke down in tears, revealing that her husband had ended his life over shame from his debt. These students were desperate, not simply from a lack of material needs, but from a spiritual emptiness they urgently needed filled by Christ. Through prayer, discipleship, and teaching, the Crown Mongolia team gave hope and shared the Gospel with these people and many others across Western Mongolia.
